Handled a night ago, the Reds bats awoke, making Phils starter Christopher Sanchez work hard in the 1st inning and then hitting him with a four run 3rd that ended his night. Will Benson snapped a career high 0 for 18 with a single.

Andrew Abbott: 4.1 IN, 3 H, 1 R, 4 BB, 3 K, 79 pitches/46 strikes. Back-to-back 1st inning doubles put him in a 1-0 hole.
